Roberto Cavalli inspired dropped smokey eye

I found some pictures of the makeup from the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2011 RTW show and I had to post them up. I love this look because it's simple but gorgeous. I really like how the lid is left very clean and the smokey look is concentrated on the bottom lid. The look just consists of a peach matte shadow on the lid and a black liner smoked along the bottom lash line. It looks so lovely on blue eyes because the warmth of the peach shadow just makes blue eyes pop. It's the perfect spring evening look!

The only matte eyeshadow I owned with a peachy tone was MAC Bamboo which I layered over peach coloured Stila Topaz kajal eye liner. I also worked some Cork eyeshadow into the crease. I finished off by applying some back liner to the bottom lashline and smudged it across and then put some nude coloured liner on my water line.

  1. great inspiration images and a fab EOTd!

  2. Thanks Jen! I love the inspiration pics too but they just make me wish for the millionth time that I had blue eyes!

  3. Gorgeous EOTD, I love runway inspired posts :D

  4. I love the look of bamboo and the stila kajal together. A great nude look for the lid.

  5. Jadegrrl: Thanks :D I love runway inspired looks too! I've been trying to find more inspiration pics and everything just looks so lovely!

Alicia: I stopped using the liner because I don't like it on the waterline so I'm glad to have found a use for it. It definitely makes a great nude combo, 'my lids but better' :D
