Charming Sketch and Satin Taupe look

I love playing around with makeup and even though I'm not a makeup artist or in any way think I have the skills to be one, I do love putting makeup on other people. That's why today's look is dedicated to one of my friends who lets me do her makeup with only a little bit of begging on my part. She's not one for bright or dramatic looks so unfortunately that means I usually have to play it safe. The look that I tried on her and she loves and asks me to keep doing involves MAC Satin Taupe and Sketch. It's a really simple look but is really pretty and looks awesome on her and would suit any skin tone.

Here are some pictures:

For this look I used:

Dermablend Cover Creme in Caramel Beige all over the lid up to the brow bone to conceal and even the colour on the lid
MAC Paint Pot in Indianwood all over the lid just up to the crease
MAC Satin Taupe eye shadow all over the lid up to the crease
MAC Sketch eye shadow on the last third of the lid and into the crease
MAC Solar White eye shadow to highlight the inner corner
Rimmel Exaggerate liquid liner to line top lashline
Covergirl Lashblast Fusion on top and bottom lashes

What I love about this look is that it's simple but still looks like you made an effort so you could wear it out shopping but could also wear it to a wedding or a party. If you wanted to make it a bit more dramatic it's also easily done just by adding some black eyeshadow to the outer v. I used some MAC Carbon eye shadow in this picture and brought the Sketch eyeshadow on to two thirds of the lid.

If that's not enough drama then you can also line your bottom waterlien and lashline with some black kohl liner and also add lashes if you want:
