As a follow up to my review of the Guerlain Brun Mordore eyeshadow pallette, I thought I'd post an eye look that I've been wearing when I use it. This look is very shimmery because the eyeshadows themselves are all very shimmery.
Because this palette has cool and warm toned colours, I tried to balance the look out so it doesn't show up too cool on my warm skin tone. I primed my lids using my MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot and then patted the second lightest colour all over my lid. I then took the warm dark brown and blended it into my crease. After that I took the darkest taupe colour and put into the outer v and into the bottom lash line. I finished the eyeshadow application by using the lightest colour as an inner corner highlight around my tear duct. I finished the whole look off by lining my eyes with liquid liner and putting on mascara.
The look still tends to pull a bit to the cool side which is why I don't usually use all these colours together and prefer using a warmer lid colour such as MAC Straw Harvest which is a peachy gold. I also prefer using these shadows seperately as they are all quite shimmery and like to use at least one matte shadow with them to balance the look out.
