This is the last of the 3 eyelooks that I'm posting today and I have to say that it's also my favourite! I didn't expect to like it so much because it's so bright but the colours just look so great against tan/medium to dark skin tones and I'm even thinking of wearing it out tonight. The focus of this look is of course the gorgeous teal colour on the lid. I took pictures of this look with and without the flash as I think it gives a better idea of how the colours work together.
Here's the look:
MAC Soft Ochre Paint Pot
NYX Jumbo Eye pencil in Milk
Givenchy Phenomen'eyes Mascara
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on eye pencil in Covet
Rimmel London Exaggerate Liquid eyeliner
MAC eyeshadows in A Bluer Blue
The first thing I did was prime my whole eye from lid to brow bone using Soft Ochre paint pot. I then used the NYX jumbo eye pencil in Milk and covered my whole lid to slightly under the crease. I took my Sigma SS 239 shader brush and patted the Bluer Blue over the Milk so just to slightly under the crease.
I then took my MAC 217 blending brush and dipped one side in the Steamy and blended the colour into the top part of my lid starting from the edge of the Bluer Blue and slightly into the crease. I then flipped the brush around and dipped the other side in the Henna and blended the colour starting from the edge of the Steamy and up slightly above the crease. I also took some Stormwatch eyeshadow and darkened up the outer V. I took my 224 blending brush and mixed Soft Brown and Bamboo together an blended out the edge of the Henna. I then took Bamboo and blended it up to my brow bone.
I always like to have a highlighted tear duct so I took some Goldmine on my 219 pencil brush and placed it around my tear duct and blended it slightly into the Bluer Blue. I also blended the Goldmine into my bottom lashline all the way across. I then took my liquid liner and lined my top lashline and brought the line all the way around my tear duct which made it look more dramatic. I then took my Urban Decay pencil in Covet and lined my waterline. I finished up with mascara on both top and bottom lashes.
This look is a little bit more complicated than the other two I posted because there's a lot more colours involved. It's obviously not for the faint hearted as it is very attention grabbing but I think that the black eyeliner on the top lash line and the dark green on the waterline stop this look from being garishly bright and makes it a more grown up but fun way to rock the bright colours.
I hope that todays looks inspire you to try out some colours that you wouldn't have otherwise.
