When you start frequenting beauty blogs and watching beauty gurus on YouTube, you start seeing alot of the same products continuously raved about. Some of them are worth the hype and some are definitely over-rated. Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide on Eye pencils are without doubt worth the hype!
When I decided to buy these I was fully prepared to be disappointed because, I mean, they're just eyeliners but I was wrong! These babies are so soft and creamy and so pigmented! The colours are beautiful and they give you enough time to blend them out if you want but once they set (and it doesn't take that long) they will not budge. I've never been a big pencil liner person but these have definitely made me change my mind.
I bought the VIP set which had 5 liners in it in the colours Zero (Black), Lucky (Copper), Covet (Emerald Green), Electric (bright turquoise) and Lust (Purple).
Because they came in a special set, they were smaller than the full size pencils. Here they are next to my MAC chromographic pencil.
The size is really not a issue for me because these pencils are not something I would use everyday because they're such bright colours. I know there's a black one but I would only use that one when I'm doing a particularly dark look which isn't very often. Despite the fact that I wouldn't reach for them that often, I'm still glad I have them because they are all very pretty.
Here are some swatches:

All of these pencils except the black have a metallic type finish. They're great to use on the waterline because they don't just disappear like some liners but they're also great for lining your top lashline. I usually prefer liquid liners for that purpose just because they don't pull your skin like pencil ones tend to but that's not an issue with these pencils because there is no tugging of your skin. They literally glide right on!
I really wanted to get the Velvet Rope set which has 5 neutral shades but it was sold out so I went for this one. My favourite way to rock these bright shades is by doing a subtle brown, gold or bronze look and then working the pencil into my bottom lashline (not the waterline, not under the lash line but literally on the lashline) but only for the last two thirds of my eye as I like to keep the first third bare or lined with a highlight shade. I prefer doing it this way because it keeps my eye's looking more open and because it's an easy and subtle way to wear bright colours without it being the first thing you see.
I definitely recommend buying these pencils if you're a pencil kind of girl because I don't think you'll be disappointed!
