So these pencils piqued my curiosity after I kept seeing them pop up in the videos of many Youtube beauty gurus and in various makeup related blogs. I figured for the price ($4.95AUD) that I couldn't go wrong so I decided to get a few. I looked at swatches online and I couldn't decide which ones to get so I got most of the more neutral looking colours.
Here are some swatches
From L to R: Cottage Cheese, Pots and Pans, Slate, Black Bean, Iced Mocha, French Fries, Gold, Bronze and Dark Brown
Of the colours I bought the ones I love are French Fries and Iced Mocha. Dark Brown and Black Bean are also quite good but not a favourite just because I tend to use lighter colours on my eyes. The ones that I thought were quite disappointing are Cottage Cheese, Gold and Bronze. Cottage Cheese looked more yellowy in swatches I had seen but it is actually quite white and chalky which I dislike. Gold and Bronze were just so orange toned and Bronze looks more like copper than a bronze and the gold looks more bronze than gold.
Apart from the colour issues, the actual product itself is really good. They are really smooth and soft and easy to blend. I haven't really been using these since I got them just because I have a set makeup routine but I will definitely be trying these out next time I go out. FYI, these will need a base under them because they do tend to crease. I used them over my MAC paint pots and they stay on great. You couldn't get a better product for this price!
